The reign of Orimm Stoutmane was one of many great challenges. The land of the dwarves had over time proven to be quite prosperous, and deep within the castles of Orimm and his ancestors lay the wealth of ages - of which many an enemy sought after. Time upon time again Orimm had commanded his army in battle to defend his land and his people from countless foes. And time upon time again they would be victorious.
The ancient runes protected the mighty halls of the dwarven castles. Inspiring the dwarves to withstand the threat of the enemy. But little did they know that Orimm's protective powers hailed from an entirely different source..
On the deathbed of his father Orimm had learned the secret of the ancient dwarven artifact that granted the protective powers that had ensured peace and prosperity for the dwarven people for centuries. This secret protected the lives of his fellow men and women, and with the death of his father, the secret was in his hands, and his hands only.
